was born on Feb 14, 1790 in Saint Clair County, Alabama. He married Cynthia Autrey on Oct 30, 1820 also in Saint Clair County, Alabama.

By July 1850, they had moved their family to Blanco County, Texas.

Together they had 10 children. 6 girls and 4 boys.
